A tradition started 15 years ago; the Kiwanis Club of Brighton installed American Flags on thirteen light poles. To continue the tradition, they expanded the Flags on Main Street, with the purchased of 34 American Flags. With the completion of the Main Street project and working with the City of Brighton and the DPW, the flags were installed just in time for the July 4th Celebration and Parade in Downtown.
The flags will remain up until Veterans Day. In the future they will be fly from Memorial Day till Veterans Day.
The Brighton Kiwanis is celebrating 75 years of community service to the Brighton area. They meet on the first and third Thursday at Fave’s Coffee in the Well Church 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM Guests are always welcome.
