Mae the Mayfly is the featured book for the Kiwanis StoryWalk on the Tridge for the month of April and May. Written by Howell resident Denise Brennan-Nelson. The StoryWalk starts at the Imagination Station side of the Tridge.
When Mae the mayfly first hatches, she learns she’ll have a day to enjoy the world. But soon a hungry trout has her racing for cover! As she peeks from her hiding spot and notices some of nature’s most beautiful sights, she realizes she must live in the moment, and experience everything the – sometimes scary-world has to offer.
An inspiring story to remind readers young and old to appreciate the time we have and enjoy all the little moments along the way. The Kiwanis Storywalk on the Tridge is part of the Brighton Kiwanis literacy program which features Michigan authors and/or illustrators.
