From Brighton Kiwanis:
The City of Brighton DPW, Police, Brighton Area Fire Authority and Brighton Kiwanis have developed a new plan to continue the popular Classic Cars on Main Street with the returning this Sunday, July 31st.
The show will be limited to the first 80 cars, drivers will be given wrist bands and lined up in the BECC Building parking lot to be escorted to the closed area of Main Street between West Street and First Street. Brighton Kiwanian Dennis Dimoff stated we will be able to expand the show to Grand River by another 30 cars if this weekend show goes smoothly.
One of the key factors in getting the event back is the need for 12 volunteers each week. Volunteers are needed from 4:30 PM to 8:15 PM for each show. Volunteers can submit their names and phone numbers to classiccarsonmain@gmail.com to sign up.
John Conely, Brighton School Board Member and presenting sponsor of the Brighton Mill Pond Concerts and Classic Cars on Main Street approached Dr. Outlaw Superintendent of the Brighton Area Schools for the use of the BECC Building parking lot for staging the car show. Superintendent Outlaw agreed and wants to keep this quality family event in Downtown Brighton.
Some of the guidelines to continue the show include:
Requiring all cars to register which includes guideline to park on Main Street. Registration must be signed by car owner and kept on file by Brighton Kiwanis. Download 2022 Registration Form.
All cars must go to the BECC Building parking lot, located on Main Street East of Grand River.

Cars on Main Street will be required to stay on site until 8 PM. No engine starts or burn outs will be allowed. Exiting pattern would be cars East of Ciao Amici would exit at West Street and cars West of Ciao Amici would exit at Hyne Street.
Car owners parked on Main Street that do not follow the rules, photos will be taken of their license plate and will be sent email advising them they cannot participate in future shows.
